NCJCA KNOCKOUT COMPETITION RULES 2011 (Under 15s, 13s, 11s)
1. PLAYING RULES
1.1
Games to be of 20 overs per side.
1.2
Maximum of 4 overs per bowler.
1.3
No limitation on number of runs scored by any batsman.
1.4
U13s play on 21 yard pitch with 4.75 oz. ball.
1.5
The team scoring most runs will be the winner.
In the case of
a tie after 20 overs, the side losing least wickets will be the winner.
Should this not decide the result, the team with highest score after 19
overs will be the winner (then 18,17 etc.).
1.6
In the case of inclement weather, the number of overs may be
reduced by mutual agreement of the organisers.
1.7
Matches terminated prematurely by weather will be decided on run
rate per over, provided that 10 overs have been completed in the second
innings.
1.8
Players must play for one club only in each competition.
1.9
Normal NCJCA playing conditions apply for U11 competition only
2.
COMPLETION DATES
2.1
Matches MUST be
completed on or before the following dates.
Preliminary round: 16th
May
1st. round
: 6th
June
2nd. round
: 27th
June
Semi‑final
: 25th
July
The finals will be played in early September.
2.2
The HOME organiser is responsible for making contact with his
opposition organiser, at least three weeks before the above dates, to
arrange a date to play. It is expected that it will normally possible to
fix a mutually acceptable date, usually on a weekday evening. If agreed by
both organisers, the match may be played on the ground of the club drawn
away. If the AWAY organiser has not heard from his opposite number 3 weeks
before date, he is advised to make contact.
If either organiser is unable to contact the opponent, ring the
Fixture Secretary.
3.
NON COMPLETION OF MATCHES
3.1
If the match cannot be completed by the set date, although a date
has been arranged, because of weather or pitch condition, the result will
be decided by a 'toss of coin'.
3.2
If organisers are NOT able to arrange a date before completion
date, either organiser should contact the Fixture Secretary as soon as
possible. He (or the Chairman) will decide which team goes through, using
the following principles:
‑ The HOME team will be awarded the match, if they have offered 3
dates with 3 weeks
notice, all of which have
been rejected by the away team.
‑ The AWAY team will be awarded the match, if the HOME team have
offered fewer than 3 dates, and the away team have bona fide reasons for
rejecting any dates which have been offered.
3.3
Once a date has been agreed, any team defaulting will be deemed to
have lost.
4.
REPORTING RESULTS

The home manager
will be responsible for completing a result sheet for all cup matches
·

The result of the
game
·
Signature of both
coaches or managers
·
The result sheet
will be sent to the competition organiser, where possible via email,
within 7 days of the expected completion date for each round
·
Failure to sign
and return a result sheet will result in a £10 fine for each instance and
possible exclusion from the competition.
·
Away teams failing
to sign or provide team names will also be fined and maybe excluded
·
If the match has
not been played for any reason by the completion date, the home club must
contact the competition organiser with an explanation. The competition
organiser may at his discretion extend the completion deadline, ask for a
positive decision to be made by the toss of a coin or make a judgement on
which side should progress.
·
For semi final and
final games players will be expected to have played in two previous NCJCA
cup rounds at the same age group
·
For semi final and
finals competing clubs will send a list of players expected to take part,
including the number of games played by each player in that years NCJCA
competitions, to the competition organiser 7 days prior to the game.
The competition organiser will use this to ensure the competition
rules are being followed.
·
Playing an
ineligible player in any round of the competition could result in
exclusion from the competition
·
The competition
organiser will use the result sheets to monitor compliance with the rules
and be empowered to enforce any penalties
·
Clubs have the
right to appeal any penalty to the Executive committee who will make a
final judgement. |
