ANNIVERSARY CRICKET FESTIVAL

Warrington Sports Club  25th. May 2009

The North Cheshire Cricket Association (NCJCA) began in October 1984 when the representatives of 11 clubs met at Grappenhall Cricket Club with the common aim of encouraging the development of junior cricket. At the time, there was little organised cricket for children under 17 years old, and the meeting agreed to set up an Association to arrange matches between member clubs, initially at Under 13 and Under 15 levels. The Association has now grown to over 30 member clubs, organising cricket at 4 age groups.

To celebrate our quarter century, we are organising this cricket day involving players from as many past and present clubs as possible in the original age groups. The event will be run as a ‘fun’ day, not a highly charged competition. Medals will be awarded to all participating players.
